Sony vs Motorola on Instagram

Sony
Sony posts at least once per day on their instagram account. To the right, I have included a print screen on their last 6 posts. As you can see, their posts are showing their latest phones and accessories, and they really focus on how the phone takes really high quality pictures, but also how nice and sleek the phone is itself. Most of their posts are to promote their phones by using cute things like cats or nice scenery. Its almost like sony want the person to buy the phone and go experience these scenes themselves. They hashtag on every photo what the product is or where the picture was taken and relate it to the post.


The picture below is Sony’s most recently liked picture on Instagram. Is has 12.2k likes and 148 comments. The photo is captioned:

I think this post has received so many likes as the design of the phone is so up to date with technology and the post is so casual. Its nothing too fancy and isn’t set up. By set up I mean that its not fake, the scene is real, its just someone or something (the phone) waiting for a train and they’ve tagged it with photography, inspiration and adventure.

  

Motorola
To the left is a screenshot of Motorola’s instagram. They post often however just like every other social media; there are gaps in posting. The content is similar to Sony where by they’re using their products in an every day type of environment, showing how people use their phones for all aspects in the hope that it will make people want to buy and use their products and accessories.
They do use hashtags to make their picture relevant and link back to something. Most cases they will hashtag the name of the phone or colour or keywords. When they have an event such as st patricks day they will hashtag it too.


The picture below is Motorola’s most liked picture on instagram. It has 4,034 likes and 90 comments.
It is captioned:

I think that this picture is the most popular and successful because its referring to the headphones in the picture about the bass they have. It’s saying that the headphones are all about that bass, meaning that they must have good sound quality, which is gaining interest of potential customers, and promoting their product.

Contest Marketing can use by Apple

As apple is coming up with their new iPhone 7 and on the other hand summer games coming in Canada and Olympics in 2020.  So If Apple do a contract with Sports Check (Retailer of Sports clothing, Equipment’s in Canada). By doing this the apple can do more and more promotion of their products by placing different on store poster and including the name of apple company in the hoardings of Sports check and also on the clothes and equipment of Sports check. By doing this Sports check is also benefited as apple is having is large goodwill in market. Moreover, both of them are able to target more and more customers of different age group and with different conditions.  They can start this from the next month as summer games in June

Sony vs Motorola on Twitter

Sony’s twitter is constantly being updated whether that is to promote or make a post about their phones etc. or whether they are interacting with people regarding technical issues, concerns or questions.
Their posts consist of images of their products, as well as videos about using their products. Coming up to events such as St Patrick’s day or Easter, they have competitions which you can enter, therefore they use these events as a way to promote and get people entering their competition to win a phone.

Similarly, this is the most successful post on twitter and Facebook. This is because the product is new technology, and I perceive it to be a really cool and up to date product which users have gotten really excited about, hence the number of likes and interest created not only on facebook, but twitter too.









Motorola
Motorola have just changed their twitter account/name so perhaps this is why they are performing so low in terms of posts that they make. They do post often, however like their Facebook, they do miss out on days upon days of no tweeting.  In terms of interacting with their users, they have no tweets doing so.

There are many more other fan pages on Facebook but not on other social site like you tube and twitter. These two accounts are little old like they was started in 2011 and continue till now and so many followers of these pages

Samsung’s you tube account have 1,655,626 subscriptions. Samsung post different posts different videos that will explain their new products more clearly to their customer that what is special and difference between the previous and new one, they post videos once or twice a week, in description under every video clearly explain that about what the video is? And also there is link that will take subscriber to their official site through where they can enquire any information they require.

There are two videos which was posted 1 week ago are most successful videos of this month as they both have more than 41 million views, I think so that it’s so successful because these two explain whole about their new smartphone S7 edge and also explain why the people have to buy it and how it change their life after using it.
Whereas apple have 3,118,458 million subscription. Apple post different videos that will explain their new products more clearly to their customer that what is special and difference between the previous and new one, they post videos once or twice in a month as they use Standard marketing (only one product for whole market and with same price) in description under every video clearly explain that what this video is for? And also there is link that will take subscriber to their official site through where they can enquire any information they require.


There us a video which was posted 3 days ago are little bit more successful as its views more than 3 million, this video is all about timer of 6s that how Siri help out for it.

Sony vs Motorola on Facebook

Sony posts every day, sometimes more than 2 times per day, with posts being separated only by a few hours. This shows just how active they are on Facebook.
Their posts are mostly pictures of videos showing their phones in an everyday life type on environment. They want to engage and interact with their smartphone users for example asking users to send in pictures of how they like to end their working week, in which they will repost their favorite pictures. Not only to they want to interact with users but their social media is also a platform to showcase and promote new products. To the right, are some pictures on how they do the stuff listed above.

I think this post was successful because its promoting a new product, which will get people excited and make them hit the like button. The product itself, its find of unique as I personally have never seen or heard of an earpiece that reads out your messages, especially a piece that requires no wires, therefore Bluetooth.

I think this post was successful because its telling people that if you have this Sony phones, you will capture all of the picture and the quality will be really good. The picture that they used is attractive and of very high quality. So they’re using this picture to entice and sell their phone along with telling the customer qualities about their phone for example contrast detection and hybrid autofocus.






Motorola
Motorola post quite a lot on Facebook too, however there are some significant gaps in their posting routines, which they go without posting for 3 days. In a way this is good as they are not over posting and content will go unrecognized and customers will get annoyed with their constant over posting. However I feel there is a balance in how little or how much you should be posting. I feel like once or maybe twice per day is okay, depending on the content. In terms of Motorola however, they simply don’t post enough, they go sometimes 6 or 7 days without posting.

In comparison to Sony, Motorola get virtually no likes. The most likes that they get are 297 then it drops right down significantly to 22 which is quite shocking for such a big company, however this does indicate that they clearly wouldn’t sell as much products as Sony.
Motorola will not focus solely on their smartphones; they divide their posts to showcase their accessories too, such as their new and sleek designed watch. They do write statuses about the occasional event, however they don’t hold many events so it is rare.

I think that this post was popular due to the fact they are giving something away if people tell them which features motivates you when you’re using their watch while working out. This gives them a chance to find out what people like about their product whilst generating views.

Samsung is also taking a good care of this site as other social sites 450555 followers and 74,647,015 views. Samsung is keep updating the customers or followers by posting different videos and pictures about what they are providing new to the market but the sharing and liking the posts on this site is little bit low because most of the people are not aware about this, due to this reason there is no post which is most successful as all the posts are almost similar likes and sharing
   

Similar to the Samsung brand Apple is also available on this social site they have 456,236 members on their sites. They little bit differently as they provide different option that whether the customer want all the post or post for some specific product they provided to the market. So, similar to the Samsung they have all the posts similar likes’ ranges between 1 to 10 and there is no most successful posts.

The pictures on their Instagram page mostly is to promote their brand. They also have some celebrity pictures which shows their endorsement for their brand.
On their recent pictures on Instagram, they had likes of 7,746 which I can say is successful.

Samsung V/S Apple on Twitter

Samsung is one that brand which is most successful in twitter as they have 11.6M following on their account that is too much high as compare to any other brand, this is also a reason for which they are attraction among other brand. They often post a brand tweet regularly with a gap of 1 day or some time daily. Similar to the Facebook, There Twitter posts are also similar and they use both the images and videos for their tweets.


 Moreover the keyword they use are also similar such as Samsung S7 edge, Samsung gear S2 and so on. Their 21st February tweets are most successful tweets as in these tweets Retweets and likes are in thousands (k) whereas all other tweets are retweet in hundred.  Moreover these most successful tweets are all about their upcoming new Samsung Galaxy S7 edge smartphone.
As we all know that Apple is available of different social sites, so they don’t have any official apple twitter account for retweeting on various apple products rather they have an app store twitter account through which retweet about their new software’s and games which they provide to the market.


 They use the keyword that shows that how they about their new things and there is no tweet over which retweet are most successful as retweet don’t exceed 100 to 400.

Facebook Samsung V/s Apple

Samsung is one of the active and successful brand on different social media sites. Samsung is always posting regularly, they post with a gap of 1 to 3 days. Most of the posts including pictures and videos of Samsung are about their new product like now they are launching Samsung s7 edge, about the new features in it and what make it different from other smartphone.


 There are very few posts that describe that how the famous people describe and promote their products and what they are doing extra for society and people except business such as now they are partner in Olympics.


We can say that Samsung is not following 50/50 rule as they are focusing more on their business rather than community and industry. The keywords that they use on each and every post is that about which product rather than what that image show such as Samsung S6 edge And Samsung gear S2. Samsung post on March 10 and 21 February is most successful posts as they have most views, likes, shares as compare to any other post, moreover these post describe that what is special in their new smartphone and different from previous from last one.
   Most of the Apple Facebook page are unofficial that they are created by their fans not by the company, moreover Apple is not so active on Social media that they don’t have any other page on Facebook for their IPhone rather they have only one app store Facebook page. Apple post regularly on daily basis, they post 1 or more than one post in one day. There most of the posts include about what they are providing new to the market or any type promotion they did such as 50% discount on one product purchase. This brand is also not using the 50/50 rule as they post mainly about the business not about the community. The keyword they use for their product are Jetpack fighter, inner baby dragon and so on.


 There are no one post I can say that  they most successful because the response to all the post are nearly equal but always low as compare to the Samsung
