Sony vs Motorola Content Marketing

Sony
For this campaign I will be creating it for Sony mobiles. My idea is that Sony does a 25 days of Christmas themed event. In this event, they will give 25 Sony products away in the 25 days leading up to Christmas. This is a good way to get people involved and market your products at the same time. Coming up to Christmas, people will need ideas of gifts so therefore they’re targeting people to buy their products as presents.
My audience is potential customers that are on Sony’s facebook, twitter and all other social media. They should advertise and promote this throughout their social media.
My goal is to gain likes, followers, subscribers, click on the link of products, retweets and so forth.
This campaign will attract, acquire and engage the audience because for a chance to win, they will need to like and share or favourite and retweet. This will broadcast the event over social media and gain peoples interest.

Motorola

I will be creating this campaign for Motorola. My idea is to set up a live streaming daily so that the people who work in Morotola can create more of a “buzz” around their upcoming projects or products. I believe that if they do this then it will gain peoples attention as they can see what the future products and accessories will look like prior to coming up. On the live stream they can have instant messaging so that people can interact with each other and the people broadcasting to ask questions that they may want answers to. My goal is to get people interested in Motorola, as they are deemed somewhat a bad phone maker in the smartphone industry, despite having really good designed phones. We will promote over facebook, twitter, insatgram and over the website to tell people when the live stream/broadcast will be.

Motorola Fan Pages



Twitter
This is a fan page for Motorola users on twitter where they can stay up to date with the latest updates rumors and exclusive news within India. They have 201 followers who would sometimes tweet to them in response to what they have posted giving their opinion on the matter.




Facebook
Motorola have a fan page on Facebook with 8,333 likes. They post every day with content including articles and news releases about Motorola products. I think this is one of the better fan pages I have seen as it looks ver professional and gets new content often. They generate a lot of feedback from users and they leave comments on the posts.


Instagram
this is the instagram for the Facebook fan page above. Having two social medias as a fan page for Motorola shows that they are die-hard fans! They post pictures on instagram of the latest products and less about news articles and conferences. The pictures are nice and the instagram page is popular with 4.969 followers.




Sony Fan Pages



Twitter
This is a ps4 fanpage and as you may know from my first Sony analysis, Sony is the creator of the play station. On twitter, this ps4 group keeps players up to date with the latest games or news surrounding their gaming console. It provides links to where players can buy games and where they can watch videos. They are relatively big, with 2,483 followers currently. Having a fan page on twitter allows players to communicate about the Sony product and interact with other players to get their opinion on good games etc.

Sony Fanpage is a facebook page for Sony lovers. They have 113 likes however even though they post a lot of interesting posts and link, they don’t have very many likes or comments on their posts. This is disappointing as their content is actually good. They haven’t posted since 2013, however this was the only decent fan page I could find. I feel like if they updated their content and posted about new Sony products they could actually be a popular fan page.

Sonyimages is an instagram fan page for people to come and post their images that they have taken with their Sony cameras. The pictures are extremely nice as you can see from the screen shot. They are very popular with 36,000 followers and 363 posts.

Blackberry vs HTC content marketing



Both brands are doing quite well in the industry, however, there is more room for improvement. Apple has taken most of the market share and has had an influence on the youth more than Blackberry and HTC.



Facebook recently is the best way to reach out to the youth, therefore, it will be more advisable for both brands to be more consistent. They should also team up with different companies which already have the youth patronizing their products or services to get more attention from the youth.
